Silence
I receive power from God in the silence of prayer.
There is magnificent power in quietness.
For instance, the water erupting from the gates of a dam
may capture my attention, but this great outflow is propelled
forward by the power within the quiet, deep water behind the dam.
There is magnificent power in silence.
In these quiet times of prayer, I turn my attention away from the
confusion around me and attune myself to God.
In silence, I receive divine ideas for establishing new goals
and new insights to overcoming familiar challenges.
A few moments in quiet prayer can be all that I need for my day
to be transformed from one of disorder to one of divine order.
In the silence, I open the floodgates of my soul and I am
empowered by God for triumphant living.
"For God alone my soul waits in silence."
